Mitch Stone, a 1988 graduate of the University Of Florida College Of Law, and partner of Stone Lockett, P.L., a Jacksonville-based law firm specializing in State and Federal criminal defense in North Florida. Mr. Stone is Board Certified in Criminal Trial Law and is AV rated. He has been recognized for his work in the areas of criminal defense, DUI defense and white collar criminal defense by being named in Super Lawyers Publication, Florida Trend's Legal Elite, Jacksonville Magazine's Leading Lawyers and in the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. He is a former Assistant State Attorney and has specialized in criminal defense since 1992. He has conducted over 150 criminal jury trials to verdict in both Federal and State court. Mr. Stone is a past board member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, past president of the Northeast Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and is currently Chairman of the Criminal Law Section of the Jacksonville Bar Association. He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Florida Bar Criminal Law Section. He is admitted to practice in Florida, Washington DC, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the Middle and Northern Federal District Courts of Florida. Mr. Stone has been on the faculty of the Gerald T. Bennett Prosecutor/Public Defender Advanced Trial Practice Seminar, The Florida Bar's Masters of DUI seminar, the FACDL Blood Breath and Tears DUI seminar, the Lorman DUI seminar and the FACDL Showcase on Sentencing. He has also lectured on criminal defense topics at the Fourth Judicial Circuit Public Defender's Office and at the Middle District of Florida's Federal Defender Conference. Recently, Mr. Stone has been selected to chair the Blood Breath & Tears DUI seminar and he authors the DUI Notes column for Defender Magazine. Mitch Stone has been married to his wife Christine for 23 years and has two daughters, Hannah and Sarah. He lives in Atlantic Beach and enjoys surfing and paddleboarding when not practicing law or playing golf. He is a member of Surfrider and is an advocate for protecting our beaches.

Lee Lockett was born and raised in Jacksonville. He attended Florida State University for his undergraduate studies and graduated in 1992. After graduating from FSU, he traveled south to Miami where he was accepted into law school at St. Thomas University School of Law. There, Mr. Lockett was elected to the Executive Board of the Moot Court Team. Mr. Lockett was awarded the Book Award in Criminal Procedure II as a third year law student. After graduation he was offered a position with the State Attorney's Office for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit. As an Assistant State Attorney he was asked to serve as "First Chair" in over 30 jury trials and countless non-jury trials and hearings. In his second year he was promoted to Division Chief in County Court Division E where he supervised all attorneys in that division and made DUI filing decisions. After leaving the State Attorney's Office, Mr. Lockett served with the Public Defender's office where he received the prestigious "ROC" Award for trial advocacy. Lee Lockett has been practicing for more than 15 years and has in excess of 45 Jury trials to his credit. He is a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association, Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, The Northeast Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, National College Of DUI Defense, Criminal Law Section of the Florida Bar, The Florida Bar Association, Law Week Committee 2005-2006, Judicial Relations Committee of the Jacksonville Bar Association, Gator Bowl Committee 2004-2007 and the Traffic Court Rules Committee of the Florida Bar. He is admitted to practice in all counties and circuits in the state of Florida as well as the United States Federal Court for the Middle District of Florida. Mr. Lockett has received the highest rating ("Superb") offered by AVVO, an independent lawyer rating system. Mr. Lockett has also received a rating of "AV Preeminent" 5.0 of 5, the highest rating from Martindale-Hubbell peer review. Lee Lockett has lectured other local attorneys in the area of DUI Defense and is also a regular guest speaker at UNF on criminal law related topics. He has also been asked to appear on several nationally syndicated television shows which have showcased his representation of a local girl and her family.

Becky Barlow exclusively practices in the area of DUI defense, driver's license restoration, and other types of traffic-related violations. She has devoted her career to working with experts to determine defenses to breath testing machines. She also has developed numerous defense strategies to DMV license suspensions resulting from DUI arrests and convictions. She has handled hundreds of appeals and has prevailed in numerous license suspension cases. She has been recognized for her legal abilities in these areas by being selected as service faculty at statewide DUI defense seminars in Florida. For more than 15 years, she has devoted her career to DUI defense and her knowledge in this area makes her an integral part of the DUI defense team at Stone Lockett.

Ian Hurley is an associate at Stone Lockett. He was born in Annapolis, Maryland, and has lived in Jacksonville for most of his life. He is a 2001 graduate of Florida State University in Tallahassee with a BS in Finance. He was a member of Phi Alpha Delta and Alpha Kappa Psi. He attended Florida Costal School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctorate degree in 2005. He joined Lee Lockett soon after becoming a member of the Florida Bar Association and is an integral part of the Stone Lockett defense team. He has represented firm clients in family law matters as well as criminal defense matters. His understanding of family law provides keen insight for the firm into the defense of domestic violence criminal cases and domestic violence and repeat violence injunctions. He also represents clients in DMV hearings, traffic ticket hearings, and bond hearings for the firm.
